LIN x LOCASCIO : RECALL
The concept behind Recall is a fragmented and complicated dialogue that at times has points of clarity while at other times serves as a jumble of traces of memory that have the possibility to engage, trigger, and create new and old thoughts.
The collection reflects a dialogue between Locascio's grandfather and himself. His grandfather is 88 years old and has severe dementia. The series of garments document the fragmented interaction and memories that are shared between them and the shifts of the perspective of grandfather and grandson. It is a journal of their relationship and engages the distance that dementia has caused.

LIN x LOCASCIO: 5-0

Apparel and Jewelry by Evelyn Tao Video by Jacqueline Jing Lin Makeup by Adrianna Kim Model: Io Ide December 2015
In a reality where our creativity is constantly being stunted, Evelyn Tao has turned to making pretty things as a means to try to hold on to her soul. This jewelry collection was a spontaneous creation that came from simply putting together different textures that she was responding to in her surroundings. She does not like to overthink her process as she believes beautiful things are rather self-explanatory, and not everything always needs to stem from a story. Although it can be interpreted as kitschy, she attempts to keep things light with a touch of humor. This video collaboration with Jacqueline is inspired by Asian tourists, quirky Taiwanese and Japanese commercials, along with all of their cliches.
